if you’re dealing with ies files (normally used in architectural visualization) a plugin called iesview comes to hand and at no cost: it interactively presents the ies information directly within 3ds max using maxscript.

animation preview stamper

quite helpful script called preview stamper courtesy of veda3d to create animation previews which include additional information like camera view, frame number etc. i already blogged once about another script but this one integrates smoothly into 3ds max, too …
