discussing 3ds max 2008

as usual, an interesting discussion is going on over at cg society about the latest edition of 3ds max and all its new features. worth reading if you’re still unsure about paying for this upgrade. the topic most talked about is the viewport speed improvement and viewport lighting and shadows which both are – in my humble opinion – a great time saver. the maxscript editor is a godsend – before it wasn’t acceptable to do scripting within the editor of 3ds max (i used ultraedit to do this).
