if you’re working on the same machine while rendering, you sometimes can wait a bit longer and enjoy your multitasking system. but 3ds max consumes the full power of your cpu so it can be helpful to change this to do other tasks as vray employee vlado stated in the vray forums: “open the task manager, go to the processes tab, find the 3dsmax.exe process, right-click on it and choose set priority > below normal and click yes in the next dialog box. this will allocate less processor time for the 3dsmax process and you will be able to do other things. alternatively, check the “low priority threads” option in the v-ray system rollout.”
