today i finished the last page of the inspirational book called ‘essential cg lighting techniques with 3dsmax‘. it really summarizes the most important aspects of lighting in computer graphics in general and gives a lot of practical tips how to apply them in 3dsmax. for everyone who was wondering why his renders don’t look the way it was intended to and never thought that light must be ‘modelled’, too – then definitely take a look at this book. after the read you’ll think differently when placing an omni, spot or anything else into your scene.
