digital texturing & painting

there are books covering features of specific 3d packages and i normally buy only this sort. but i was surprised how a general book about digital texturing and painting could be so helpful to understand what’s going on behind the curtains of todays software without the need of touching your computer. ‘digital texturing & painting‘ is a great reader to take a break from looking all day in your screen. a nice quote for the book: "this book takes you outside the studio and walks you through the museum of life."
